Floratam

Floratam grass is a vigorous, course textured St. Augustine grass variety. Developed by agricultural stations in 1972 to be the most drought tolerant of all St. Augustine grasses. Floratam has very good fall color retention and greens up nicely in the spring. The blade width can reach between 5mm to 7mm on average and has a nice blue green color tone. St. Augustine Floratam can grow in Sandy, Loam, Clay and even muck. It has an excellent wear and injury recovery rate. Floratam performs best in full sun and can tolerate shade. When established St. Augustine Floratam is a super think turf grass it tends to drown out most weeds that try to establish. Overall St. Augustine Floratam is a very versatile turf grass that is commonly used for residential lawns, commercial lawns, golf courses and sports fields.

Zoysia Grass
Zoysia
is as hardy as it is attractive, and has a deep, thick
root structure. It is more drought resistant then most
varieties of Zoysia grass. In addition, slower vertical
growth, plus natural chinch bug resistance's, mean your
lawn will require less maintenance, mowing, water than
other types of other warm season grass. In some
instances, once naturalized to the local climate. Zoysia
requires minimal irrigation. Zoysia grass
was developed specifically for the unique southern
environment. Empire Zoysia grass meets the Florida Green
Building Coalition's "Green Building" standards. This
allows Florida builders seeking "Green Home
Certification" to specify Zoysia and receive certifying
points. Zoysia grass is the only
Zoysia grass approved by the FGBC with a proven track
record in the state.
Zoysia grass has a nice blue green color with a blade width of 5mm - 7mm. Zoysia has a soft feel to touch. Zoysia has a very good fall color retention and spring Greenup. Zoysia will grow in Sand, Sandy, Loam, Clay and muck with no issues. Zoysia demonstrates excellent wear and recovery habits. Because Zoysia is naturally chinch bug resistant it is rated in the excellent category for insect and disease control. Zoysia has also been placed in the drought resistant category and is approved by the FGBC.
Overall Zoysia is durable enough for professional use, Zoysia is also a favorite of golf courses, theme parks, master planned communities, office complexes and other commercial areas. It can also be the solution for residential lawns.
419 Bermuda Grass
419 Bermuda grass is a very dense and fine textured
hybrid Bermuda grass. 419 Bermuda is low growing
and spreads horizontally rapidly. It's density, fine
texture and soft blades provide a soft cushion in which
to walk and play.
419 Bermuda has a blue green color and it's blade width can be 5mm to 7mm in size. 419 has a soft feel to the touch with a blade width of 5mm - 7mm. 419 Bermuda has a very good fall color retention and spring green up rating. 419 will grow in sand, sandy, loam, clay and muck with no issues. 419 Bermuda has an excellent wear and injury recovery ability. 419 Bermuda also demonstrates excellent injury, disease and weed resistance.
Overall 419 Bermuda is a great solution for sports fields and golf courses, residential homes and commercial areas.
Bahia Grass
Bahia
grass is resistant to drought, diseases and insect
attacks. Bahia grass will survive in conditions that
most other turf grasses can not. Bahia grass requires
some maintenance to look good in residential and
commercial applications. The grass tends to thin out
over time and has a low resistance to many weed
controls. Bahia grass has a vigorous growing habit a can
need mowed frequently.

Bahia grass has a very good fall color retention and spring green up rating. baihia grass can grow in sand, sandy, loam, clay and muck with no problems. Overall Bahia grass is commonly used on residential lawns and commercial areas. FDOT also uses Bahia grass along highway and roadway applications. Bahia grass is not a good solution for sloped areas or to control washouts. Bahia grass will flourish on flat dry infertile soils better then most turf grasses.
